Gg Girls ASK....

Dear Pastor K~Why does God want you to forgive your enemies?
Answer: This is a wonderful question!  Why does God want us to forgive?   Colossians 3:13 & 14 says, "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." First of all we need to understand that God asks us to forgive....no matter what the grievance should be.  That means in any and every circumstance...we need to forgive.

Now, why would God want us to do this?  Well, God wants the best life for you.  He wants you to be prosperous and abounding in every area of your life.  That doesn't just mean wealth!  That means abounding in your health, in your relationships, and in every area of your life.  Here's what un-forgiveness does: it stops the blessing in your life.  Why is this?  Because it's not LOVE.  And God is Love.

Un-forgiveness doesn't hurt the person you have an offense with.  It only hurts YOU!  I have learned and talked to many people who have lived in un-forgiveness for years of their lives, and let me tell you, they're not happy people!

So here's what i want you to do: i want you to pray.  I want you to ask God to help you to forgive.  When you do this, and you really mean it, He will give you the power to forgive.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with your emotions and to give you the right emotions.  I believe that you will have a break-through and you will be able to forgive!

Gg Girls ASK....

Pastor K~When you're going through a tough time, do you ever doubt God?
answer...Isn't it sooo hard not to doubt God in the midst of a huge trial or situation?  What a great question! It IS so hard!

I'm reminded of the story of Joseph!  His story is one of many trials, but a great victory in the end.  And I truely believe it's because he didn't doubt!  When he was growing up, his own brothers hated him because his father favored him!  One day they got really mad at him and they were going to kill him.  But instead, they sold him into slavery.  (Now that's a bad day!)  Joseph ended up serving for Potiphar who was one of Pharoah's officials.  He was put in charge of his entire household.  One day, Potiphar's wife threw herself at Joseph. Joseph refused her, and she got mad.  She then accused Joseph of almost rapping her and he was thrown into jail.  Now in jail, Joseph was a leader.  Even in the midst of this bad situation, he still had a great attitude!  He didn't doubt!  In jail, he interpreted some dreams for the Kings cupbearer and baker.  They were in jail because they had offended the King.  The cupbearers dream was one of redemption.  He would be released from jail and serving the King again.  The bakers dream was one of devestation.  His dream predicted that he would die.  Joseph only asked that the cupbearer would remember him and tell the King of his kindness.  The cupbearer didn't!  He forgot.  Two full years went by, and then Pharoah had a dream.  He summoned all his magicians and wise men to interpret the dream but none of them could.  Then the cupbearer remembered Joseph.  Joseph was summoned to the King!  This was finally his chance to make a difference in his life.  He interpreted Pharoah's dreams.  And what ended up happening was quite simply a miracle.  Joseph was put second in charge of all of Egypt.  He was a prisoner one day, and the next day, second in charge of all of Egypt. (First in charge was Pharoah!)

I told you this story to tell you this one thing....NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!   We just have to hold on to our faith and believe that things are going to work out!  When you have doubt I want you to tell your mind what to think.  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 "...take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ." That means you have the power to determine the thoughts that you have.  If your thoughts are negative, they will produce doubt in you.  If your thoughts are positive, they will produce faith in you.  Whatever the situation may be, God has an answer for it.  Look to the Word, find your answer, and begin to change your thoughts.  And remember, with God nothing is impossible!

Put on Love

I was reading Colossians 3:14 <NKJV> this morning and the scripture that popped out at me was "But above all things put on love, which is the bond of perfection." And here's what i realized....Love makes me perfect.  Not that i'm perfect, but that Love makes me perfect.  There's a lot of things we encounter in this world.  We may find in our day that some people are mean, that some people are rude, that some people just not nice.  And sometimes it can be someone who is really close to us, like a sister, brother, mom, dad, grandparent or friend. But God says, put on Love.  God is Love, and the Word tells us that He will pour his love into our hearts.  He will flood you with all the love you need to get over the hurts that others put on you.  And in the very next verse, (vs 15) the peace of God will rule your heart.  That's what we all want right?  To have peace.  When you have peace you are set up for every victory in your life.  So, whatever you are facing today, put on LOVE.  And watch and see how peace will rule in your heart today!

ARE YOU A DIAMOND OR A FRENCH FRY??

What is something that is valuable to you? Things that are valuable in this world are things like diamonds, rubies, gold, corals, or even pearls.  There may be something that you value that is a gift someone gave to you.  It is precious to you.  It means a lot to you.  It has worth.

What does valuable mean? It means something of great worth!

When you go to a jewelry store the most valuable, precious jewels and diamonds and gold, is in a case. They are guarded.  They are protected.  They can’t be easily touched.  In fact, you have to have permission to touch them.  To handle them.

When my husband was purchasing me a new diamond (oh yeah!!) for our 10 year anniversary we went to the store London Gold.  When we went to open the door, it was like a cage!  They actually had to buzz us in to allow us to see their diamonds!! Crazy!  But, the diamonds that they have in that store are super expensive and they have a high value!!

Diamonds have tremendous VALUE!  They are of high worth.
We know that they are valuable because we cant touch them.

French fries are cheap! You can find them on every corner!  They come in a paper sack, grouped together, and they look and smell like all the other french fries!  There is no uniqueness! There is no value in a french fry!

But you are like a diamond.  Did you know that YOU are valuable?  You are of great worth!!

God says: that you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a perculiar people – to inhabit all the praises of the earth. And in Proverbs 31:10, it says, "who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth <value> is far above rubies."

Virtuous means:  - strength, might, efficiency, wealth, army

Your value begins in your heart.  And then it becomes evident in your actions

YOU ARE A DIAMOND.   You are the precious stone in the case at the jewelry store.  And let me tell you something,  if you see yourself as that diamond, nothing and no one can devalue you.

See a diamond would never be out on a counter for everyone to see, to touch, to text, to call.  A diamond doesn’t just come with a happy meal. LOL!!  A diamond has her boundaries.  She knows she’s the prize and she’s confident.  She knows that there will be a day, when the man of her dreams will come, and when he does he will find her and take care of her and love her, as Christ loves the church!

YOU ARE THE DIAMOND.  Boys, on the other hand, are the hunters.  They search for the most beautiful, most perfect diamond in the whole world.  They hunt.  They are about the hunt.

Boys don’t like to be chased.  They like TO chase.  Deep down they want to know that what they are chasing is not easy to find, but is the diamond of all diamonds.  Now they may pay attention to the french frys too, but they won’t ever take a french fry seriously.  French frys are easily disposed of.  Boys want to hunt for something that is hard to get.  This is the thrill of the hunt for a man.  So what are they hunting for?  The diamond in the case.  The untouchable diamond.

Diamonds don’t text hunters.
Diamonds don’t call hunters.
Diamonds don’t let hunters in their bedrooms.
Diamonds are happy to be securely in their case, until their prince charming hunter finds them.

Don’t be a french fry!!!!
